This transformation broke the pyramid of Light that bound the Giants of Darkness to the island, but before they enjoyed their freedom, they were pitted against their former friend. Tiga fought against his two past partners, Hudra and Darramb.
Refusing their offer to join them, Tiga fought them both, one at a time, and barely managed to defeat them both. After absorbing their dark energy, he was able to dispel portions of the the darkness inside him and achieve purer forms of himself. All of my friends After finishing off his former comrade, Tiga finally fought Camearra herself, who did not hold back against her old lover. Camearra was about to destroy the jet, but Tiga shielded Rena with his own body.
This act of benevolence dispelled the last of his darkness completely and he was returned to his normal form, but the battle wasn't over. Enraged that her former lover had found a new beloved, Camearra awakened the Darkness from the depths of the island, and merged with it, becoming her ultimate form; Demonthor.
The gaseous beast attacked Tiga, who was unable to fight back. After a short battle, Tiga was killed by Demonthor, and Camearra was ready to destroy the world. But the souls of the fallen warriors of R'lyeh Island gave their remaining power to Tiga, reviving and transforming him once again into his Glitter form.
This time Demonthor could not harm him so she grabbed him and absorbed him into herself where his Light was unleashed. Ultraman Tiga destroyed the beast, from the inside, and Camearra with it with the Zerades Beam.
Later after Daigo had returned to human form he found the dying body of Camearra, who confessed that she once wished for the power of light as well. Daigo held her hand as the darkness's grip on her was relinquished and she died a pure soul. This was Daigo's final battle as Tiga, and the legacy of mankind's protector was passed onto Tiga's successor, Ultraman Dyna , to defend the Earth in Tiga's place. Ultraman Tiga: The Final Odyssey.
Although Daigo doesn't appear in the movie, Tiga reappeared because of humanity's hope to save Ultraman Dyna , with both of the Ultra Warriors managing to destroy Queen Monera. Just like before, this Tiga alongside Dyna appeared due to Tsutomu's desire to save Gaia and to defeat King of Mons and his allies Basiliss and Sculla. All of this came about by a sphere that granted wishes. Tiga battled Sculla and managed to destroy him with the Zeperion Beam.
Both Tiga and Dyna vanished along with the sphere after Tsutomu wished it away. In the war, Ultraman Tiga faced Golza but in their midst battle, Dark Lugiel appeared and turned every Ultra alongside their allies, monsters and aliens into Spark Dolls. With the war over, an unknown warrior appeared and faced Dark Lugiel but like the others he was also turned into a Spark Doll but he was kept within his Spark Device and fell alongside other Spark Dolls to Earth.
Tiga Dark attacked Jean-Killer and severely damaged him so much that it made him revert back to his Human Host, Tomoya. At the moment Hikaru discovered that Tomoya was the one controlling the gargantuan robot, but while wondering who attacked him, Tiga Dark appeared before them.
Taro told them it was Ultraman Tiga, while Alien Valky tried to correct him, saying it was his "cooler" form Tiga Dark, but his speech fell on deaf ears, as he said it too far away from them. Tiga Dark attacked the trio with a Light Bullet, but Ultraman Taro managed to use Ultra Psychokinesis to deflect the attack, which fell on Valky knocking him out.
Ultraman Taro told the duo to run as quickly as possible but as they argued and did not take notice when Tiga fired another Light Bullet. This time, Taro noted was too strong to deflect.
As such Taro teleported the three away to safety. Tiga appeared and began to fight Ginga, who was able to barely match him. To uneven the odds, Tiga transformed Valky into a giant to do battle with him. Ginga and Jean-Nine eventually overpowered the two, defeating with their finishers and returning them to Spark Doll form. Tiga fell in his purified form. The Dream Battle. Tiga begins to fight with the monster avoiding being cut by Tyrant's mace and tail.
He then uses the Zeperion Beam, but only for Tyrant to use his Bemstar gorge to absorb it all until he couldn't do it anymore, his timer also started to flash. Then Jean-Nine comes and rushes Tyrant and aids in helping Tiga. When Jean-Nine's cannon was caught by the monster, he slashed at Tyrant's Barabba Whip and cuts it off, knocking him off balance.
The robot then handed Tiga the hook which he then turned into energy and threw it at Tyrant's chest. Tyrant was then defeated and the Spark Dolls returned. Ultraman Ginga Theater Special. Other sizes. Flying Ability Has abilities to fly in space, and can also travel between planets. On the other hand since the monster is a part of nature, attacks may be ceased in some cases to protect the enemy. The Color Timer functions as part of Ultraman's heart, and when the Color Timer has either been totally destroyed or severely damaged, it transforms into a spiky form.
Their silver skin, or Ultra Armor, is made of solid Spacium itself. Ultraman's design, like Ultraseven 's, has been used as a base to create designs of almost all other Ultras, such as Ultraman Jack , Ultraman Ace , Zoffy , Ultraman 80 , and most of the Heisei-era Ultras such as Ultraman Tiga , Ultraman Dyna and Ultraman Gaia , and is also the most used design base to create a new Ultra.
The Ultra N Project 's Ultras are designed after Ultraman's design, but with a new version of the Color Timer , and the design has been very altered, such as Ultraman the Next having a insectoid appearance, and Ultraman Noa possessing a completely silver body. Ultraman's fighting style was originally very simplistic, mainly punches, kicks and the occasional throw, followed by the Spacium Beam. As time went on, more techniques were added to his roster and the fights became more choreographed.
Ultraman's first suit actor, Bin "Satoshi" Furuya, was a student of judo, and as the series went on, his background as a martial artist was put to use in the fights. Also, the reason for the Spacium Beam cross style position is, according to some, Eiji Tsuburaya having borrowed ideas from Christianity he was a convert to Roman Catholicism , and the beam's stance is based on the cross, a famous symbol of good.
Ultraman's personality is shown through his host for most of his main series. Ultraman is shown to be fairly clever, as he was able to outsmart his team and many enemies as well. His patience, however, is shown to be questionable, as he initially resorts to aggression upon facing monsters. Although, he is shown to be passive, if not persuasive when he needs to, as shown with Seabozu.
He also is shown to be very concerned and sorry with what he had done to Hayata, and even after the first wave of invasion had ended with Zetton, he insisted that the man should live when Zoffy was going to relieve him of his duties. In his pursuit, he accidentally collided with Shin Hayata , an officer of the Science Patrol , who was on a scouting mission in his jet.
Hayata was killed in the same crash, but out of remorse, Ultraman gave Hayata his own life, and merged their bodies, to keep him alive. After Bemular was destroyed, Ultraman stayed to protect Earth from more threats, such as ancient monsters and alien invaders. Some memorable mentions are his encounters with the Baltan , his close match with Alien Mefilas , and his defeat at the deadly monster Gomora. However, his time on Earth came to a close after his battle with Zetton.
His Color Timer was damaged in his fight with Zetton, in which his enemy used a weapon that Ultraman had not expected--one specifically targeting the Ultra Warrior's warning light. Zetton was left to be destroyed by the Science Patrol. Ultraman was retrieved by his superior, Zoffy , and was taken back to their home world. After Ultraman Jack was defeated by Alien Nackle and Black King , Jack was taken by Nackle's ships to his home planet to be executed, however, just before he could be killed, Ultraman and Ultraseven appear, rescue and save Jack by using the Ultra Star which revived Ultraman Jack and destroyed his ships.
Jack thanked his comrades and went back to Earth. When the Ultra Star Shines. When Go was about to transform into Jack to fight a revived Zetton , the Original Ultraman talked to him telepathically of how dangerous Zetton is. The 5 Ultra Oaths. The Five Ultra Brothers. Pursue the Mystery of the Transformation Terrible-Monster. After their arrival, each member asked the others what's wrong. Yapool summoned Baraba to destroy Earth and The Ultras realized it was all a trap and that Ace has to go back to Earth, but a cold mist was unleashed that weakened the Ultra Brothers.
Ace hesitated to return to Earth, so Ultraman decided that they should give him their powers to get Ace to Earth, but Ace wouldn't accept it because it would kill the Ultras, so Ultraman slapped him in the face and encouraged Ace to go back to. The Ultra Brothers gave enough power to Ace, who flew back to Earth, but the Ultras were pulled to their crosses and were to get tied on their crosses. Ace managed to return to Earth and quickly fought Baraba. Yapool, however, warned Ace that if he kills Baraba, the Ultra brothers would be killed by the entity himself.
Unable to properly fight with the thought of his brothers in danger, Barbara gained the upper hand until Ace reverted back to his previous forms of Hokuto and Minami as Baraba returned back to Yapool, his mission a success.
Ace came back but had a tough battle with Ace Killer, so they give Ace their energy from their Color Timers. Ace was able to defeat him with the Space Q.
They went back to M78 while Ace went back to Earth to fight Baraba. Alien Hipporit suddenly appeared, and they were prepared to fight, but Alien Hipporit trapped Ultraman, and Zoffy in chambers while Jack and Seven dodged away from it.
While Seven was fighting the alien, Jack tried to free Ultraman, and Zoffy but was trapped too after attempting to get them out with his Ultra Bracelet. Later, and they were all turned to statues. Total Annihilation! The Five Ultra Brothers Miracle! The Father of Ultra. The Ultras see it coming and lured it to another planet after failing to destroy it in space using their Ultra Beams. While the Ultra Brothers were completely decimated by Grand King, Father of Ultra awakens and says Taro is the only one able to defeat it.
The Mother of Ultra tells Taro this and he defeats Enmargo. He flies to the aid of his brothers. Then Mother of Ultra tells them they must channel their energy into Taro's horns. They do so and vanish, and Taro becomes a Super Ultra. He soon defeats the monster and Juda vanishes.
Father of Ultra is recovered and they all have an inspirational conversation and Taro became a member of the Ultra Brothers. Ultraman Story. Ultraman along with the Ultra Brothers revived Kotaro after he died in a plane crash by Astromons.

Go Beyond the Ultra Brothers! The evil alien Babarue managed to freeze Astra , Ultraman Leo 's younger brother, and later made a disguise out of him. The Ultra-homeworld fell out of its orbit, and was heading towards Earth to crash. When he was going to escape, he was stopped by Ultraman, and the two had a short fight, but "Astra" escaped and flew to Earth. The other brothers raised Ultraman from the ground, and he said that it wasn't Babarue who stole the Ultra Key, but "Astra", the Ultras were shocked, and they all flew to Earth following him, not before informing Ultraseven that "Astra" took the Ultra Key.
Dan Moroboshi told Gen Otori about what happened, Gen was shocked, and after "Astra" arrived on Earth, Dan tried to stop him using his Ultra powers, and the Ultra Brothers arrived on the scene. Gen stopped Dan, and the two started to fight, but the Ultra Brothers started to fight against "Astra". Ultraman managed to hurt "Astra" and make him fall, but he raised up, and after Gen Otori and Moroboshi stopped fighting, he used his Ultra powers and made "Astra" weak, but Gen recovered and beat Moroboshi to unconsciousness, and he transformed into Ultraman Leo.
MAT is so astonished at his revival, they ask him to join their ranks. Rather, this Ultraman calls the shots, deciding when to henshin and when not to. Return of Ultraman nodded to its past by establishing a loosely shared continuity with Ultraman and Ultraseven by having Ultra heroes from both shows make appearances to help out when Go needed it.
This was a neat little sequence that has most definitely been used as a template for toku crossovers for many years to come. Both of the actors who portrayed Dan and Hayata, made appearances, servicing the fans both new and old appropriately. Return of Ultraman is perhaps the most straightforward effort from the Showa era. Yes, Return is more episodic than its elders, with little to no serialization. But the series did accomplish a milestone far more important in the long run — establishing a mostly solid shared continuity, even if it retconned a few things here and there to make it work.
In short: Ultraman Ace is slightly more campy and over-the-top than everything that came before it. This also makes Ace the first Ultra hero have a female host as well, which is quite the historical landmark. The show will later back out of this for — you guessed it — blatantly sexist reasons. Ace volunteers to be the catalyst for this, bonding his lifeforce to theirs this time around. Thus, Hokuto and Minami can henshin into Ace by doing flying somersaults in the air together.
I mean, they just had to. Ace picked up the house of continutity that Jack built and put on an extra wing or two, just for fun. Ultramen of the past were seen and heard from much more frequently than ever, as did characters from their respective series.
Ace vs Hideki Goh! The Ace duo is on the case, and so is MAT who must stop this doppelganger from harming the world. Ace breaks free to save the day. In Episodes 26 and 27 , all five Brothers are turned into jade statues by Hipporito.
After the MAT ran around trying to defend themsevles without any Ultra assistance, Ultra Father comes down to earth, making his first appearance! Sadly, his debut is cut short when his Color Timer runs out of juice during the battle, since he used up most of it just getting to Earth. In a heart-wrenching moment, Ultra Father dies while saving his sons, who fly his body back to M78 after their bittersweet victory.
Immediately after this, Ultraman Ace writes out one of its main characters. She reveals her backstory to Seiji before they defeat Lunatyx, a monster that had destroyed her ancient city, together as Ace once last time.
The episode itself is highly ethereal, even if mostly bullshit to appease the sexist audience members who reportedly wrote in complaining about her existence on the show. Ultraman Taro was named Taro for two reasons. This alienated many longtime fans who remembered what Ultraman used to be: a dramatic action thriller written for all ages, not a live action cartoon that talked down to its core fanbase like Taro did. With the help of ZAT Zariba of All Territory , he helps vanquish his accidental creation and of course gets wounded in the process.
Guess which Ultra revives the endangered altruistic mortal this time around? No, not Ultraman Taro. That would be too easy. Ultra Mother sends her five sons to scoop up the dying Kotaro from the wreckage and take him to M78 which is blanketed with aurora borealis this time. There she has the Brothers combine their Ultra powers and channel them into Kotaro. Thus Ultraman Taro is born. Hell yeah! Take the helmets for example. Are those recycled containers of Cheer? Truth is, they ugly.
They real ugly. According to him, the sun of their galaxy had exploded 30, years ago which left most of the population dead. Thus an artificial sun was built by the scientists of Nebula M78, which restored light and peace to their home planet.
But soon after that, Alien Empera invaded their world with his monster troops, starting a war. While defending their world from the space kaiju, he met Ultra Mother after being injured. They formed a union and set up the Ultra Guard together. A giant landmark known as the Ultra Tower was built to commemorate the brave Ultra warriors who fought to save Nebula M A giant fire blazes on top around the Ultra Bell , a silver bell that protects the peace of the universe.
The Six Ultra Brothers agree to take the Ultra Bell to earth to save the humans from evil space alien Murora and the dark cloud it brought with it. This time, the five elders inhabit the bodies of five ZAT members who are assumed to be dead.
They also start wearing these weird leather outfits. In Episode 39, both Yuko, princess of the moon, and Ultra Father come down to help Taro make giant mochi to stop a giant mochi-monster. Taro ends on a quiet note, with Kotaro relenquishing his henshin badge back to Ultra Mother so he could prove to his young friend Kenichi that humans can take down giant aliens without super powers. After he saves the world in an over-the-top sequence, Kotaro wanders off into Tokyo, looking for his next adventure.
